ALL STATE Audition INFORMATION

Southern REgional Honor Orchestra

This past year’s Southern Regional Events were a big success. It was amazing to see our participation and collaboration grow, providing wonderful performance opportunities for our students. We will be making a few changes to this years events as outlined below.

Audition Dates:
The Orchestra will hold live auditions for STRINGS, WINDS, and PERCUSSION at selected locations.
  • Baton Rouge Region - Thursday, December 5, 2:30pm, BRMHS Orchestra Room
  • New Orleans Region - Saturday, December 7, 9am, Lusher Charter
  • Lafayette Region - Saturday, December 14, 9am, ULL Music Building

Eligibility
  • Auditioners must be enrolled in their school Orchestra or Band to be eligible to audition
  • Auditioners, who attend a school that does not have an Orchestra or Band (Must be taught by an LMEA Registered Director
  • 2019 All-State members are automatically accepted into the SRHO.  However, automatic entries must also submit registration forms and fees.

Registration Fees
  • $25.00 per auditioner
  • Submit all registration fees, in the form of one school check, made payable to the E. B. R. School system. Please make sure fees for each auditioner is covered.

Registration Deadline
  • Friday, November 15th
  • All registration fees and forms must be postmarked before or on November 15th.  No registration forms or fees will be accepted after the postmark date.
