HS 1st-Round Schedule

MIDDLE SCHOOL
1 Round ONLY

• Registration Due - September 26th
• Auditions
  • Date - Saturday, November 9th
  • Site - Central HS
  • Student Release Form

• Must be paid by September 26th
• School checks must be made payable to LMEA District IV & mailed to 401 Hatchell Ln. Denham Springs, LA 70726 Attn: Ryan Benoit
• All fees must be paid in order for the student to audition

• 6 major scales & chromatic​ ​

HIGH SCHOOL
1st-Round

• Registration Due - September 1st 
• Date - Saturday, September 14th
• Site - LSU School of Music
• Student Release Form
• Time - 1st audition at 8:30am
  • ​Your band director will receive audition times prior to auditions
• Chairperson - Ryan Benoit - [email protected]
• Fee is $12 to audition
  • Must be paid by September 1st 
  • School checks must be mailed to 401 Hatchell Ln. Denham Springs, LA 70726 Attn: Ryan Benoit
  • All fees must be paid in order for the student to audition

Music Requirements

• Etudes Set 1
• 12 Major Scales and Chromatic
• Percussion will also do 4 mallet exercise 1​
• Sightreading

2nd-Round

• Date - Saturday, September 28th
• Site - Central High School
• Time - 1st audition at 8:30am
  • ​​Your band director will receive audition times prior to auditions

• Fee - $17
  • Must be paid on-site at auditions
  • School checks must be made payable to LMEA District IV
  • All fees must be paid in order for the student to audition
• Academic Award Form (OPTIONAL)
  • If any student has a verified GPA of 3.5 or higher, that student may upload the verified academic award form through the event registration after they have been selected as a member of the All-State ensemble(s)
